Party Time
Well sorry for the lack up the promised updates but after conference finals had come and gone the realization that my finals were just around the corner. The last few weeks have been extremely chaotic and fast paced. Along with finals, I was trying to make the collegiate nationals road team, study, and move out of the dorms and into the bike house. Well im happy to say that today officially marks the completion of everyone of those goals. I passed all my exams with flying colors and am hoping for a solid sweep of A's, made the nationals team and have completed the pain staking task of moving in. SAWEEEEEEET! The time to celebrate is short lived though. Thursday I leave for nationals, after nationals im driving down to Arkansas for Tri Peaks NRC race which will be my first official P1/2 race...eeeeeeeeeee. Then after TP, ill head down to spend some quality time with family and friends in Austin for a few days before making my way back up to Boulder, Sheesh!
Well how about some fun stuff to read. Last Wednesday, I did a 5hr march up toward Estes Park going up S.St. Vrain. That ride ceases to make me happy. I think I could count the number of cars that passed me on one hand after I got out of Lyons. The climb was beautiful as usual.

Along the way i needed to refil my bottles and asked the local in Allens Park where i could do so. "Right yonder, about 3/4 mile down the rode, across from the pine oak lodge is Crystal Springs, Purest water in the country". Well, the guy wasnt lying.

The water came straight out of this hose.

After riding for awhile, I made it back to Lyons where I found myself starving and thirsty. The usual was just what I needed.

Riding was relatively lame through finals, although two days ago Shep, Bryan and I went mountain biking at Hall Ranch. A ways into our ride Bryan let me ride his "Silver Steed".

The SS rigid was a blast, possibly the most fun I have had in awhile. As Bryan would say it adds a whole new element to riding. With that rigid, you know when you take a shitty line!
Last night i was an Honorairy guest with the Chamois Army Fort crowd. We went to Japango for all you can eat sushi for $25. I think we came close to eating $400 worth. Not bad. I thought i didnt like sushi but after last night my whole outlook has changed.
Today is packing for my road trip. Nationals, Tri Peaks, Home. It'll be a long haul. Kiel driving down with me so it should be that bad. I think im gonna try to bring my mtn bike back to austin see if i can ride some trails while im home. OK, well ill have my computer so hopefully i can update through nationals and tri peaks. Hope everyone is having a great summer!

Blake,
I'm a lurker to your blog but congrats on the exams and moving. I noticed you have "TriPeaks" listed. Will you be racing the road race in Arkansas next week. There is Joe Martin Stage Races in Fayetteville this weekend and the TriPeaks in Russellville next weekend. Healthnet, United Toyota and many more are here.
Again, congrats!
Geo.
